On February 24th, 25th and 26th, randomly selected rooms at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) dormitories will be inspected.
February 24 th, 11 am:

Residents, who have failed to meet the conditions laid down in the Agreement for Accommodation or who have violated the Internal Rules of the Dormitories of Vytautas Magnus University and who have been subject to disciplinary action:
- 10 Euro for a remark;
- 15 Euro for a warning;
- 20 Euro for a strict warning
Open Competition for University Fee Exemptions for Spring Semester 2019/2020
Vytautas Magnus university (VMU) has launched an open competition for university fee exemptions for Spring semester 2019/2020. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory).
University fee exemptions for Spring semester 2019/2020 may be granted at a rate of up to 100% to cover:
ACCOMMODATION FEES, and this exemption may be granted for students of a full-time bachelor, master, PhD or integrated studies, who are currently living in the dormitory of VMU and who have concluded Agreement for Accommodation, which is valid until June 30th, 2020, based on:
- social (material) situation;
- dormitory and room type, where student is being accommodated (NOTE: students, who are currently living in a single-bed room of the dormitory cannot be awarded accommodation fee exemption).
University fee exemptions through the open competition may be awarded as a matter of priority, by taking into account social (material) status, for:
- Orphans, students who were granted custody or guardianship until adulthood or who have lost both of their parents (both of the parents have passed away);
- Students with disabilities;
- Students from the families with large number of children (there are four or more children in the family, who are currently students, school pupil or minors, and who are not older than 24 years).
Given the social (material) status, students must provide following documents for the competition:
- Orphans: original documents of the death certificates of your mother and father, with official translations to Lithuania, English or Russian languages with the translator’s stamp attached;
- Students with disabilities: original document, which proves your disability with official translations to Lithuanian, English or Russian languages with the translator’s stamp attached;
- Students from the families with large number of children: original certificate of family composition with official translations to Lithuanian, English or Russian languages with the translator’s stamp attached; original documents / certificates which proves age of your brothers and sisters with official translations to Lithuanian, English or Russian languages with the translator’s stamp attached.
Students who are willing to apply for fee exemptions, has to complete an electronic application form and submit (upload) documents, which proves social (material) status of the family, together with official translations to Lithuania, English or Russian languages with the translator’s stamp attached. This must be done no later than by February 16th, 2020. Results of the open competition will be published by March 1st, 2020, by personally informing students about it by an emails address, which was indicated in the Application Form.
Tuition fee and accommodation fees exemptions shall be awarded by taking into account all the support granted for the student by VMU, awarded scholarships, granted exemptions and (or) size of the fees paid for the University and given the support and (or) scholarships awarded from the State budget funds, private legal or natural persons.

Students are invited to reserve place of residence in the dormitories of VMU
Starting from January 17th, 2020, all international students enrolled to study or already studying at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), as well as non-VMU students, may reserve themselves places of residence in the dormitories of VMU.
Number of free places for residence in the dormitory is limited but the vacant room list is constantly updated, therefore it is recommended to check it regularly.
For prospective students of VMU and non-VMU students
Incoming students of VMU full-time Erasmus+, Bilateral or other exchange studies and students form other higher education institutions, who want to reserve a place of residence in one of the dormitories of VMU must follow this procedure:
- create a personal account to the online accommodation system http://accommodation.vdu.lt („Accommodation for Others“)
- reserve place of residence from the provided list of vacant rooms
- pay (80 EUR) prior fee for reservation no later than in 3 working days after making the reservation
- receive confirmation e-mail of your reservation
- sign your online Agreement for Accommodation
- move-in into the dormitory no later than by February 16th, however, accommodation fee will be started to be count starting from the 3rd working day after sending confirmation e-mail.
For current VMU students
VMU students, who want to reserve a place of residence in one of the dormitories of VMU must follow this procedure:
- login to the online accommodation system http://accommodation.vdu.lt („VMU Students Accommodation“)
- reserve place of residence from the provided list of vacant rooms
- receive confirmation e-mail of your reservation
- sign your online Agreement for Accommodation and move-in into the dormitory within period of 3 working days.

Apply for housing in the dormitories of VMU during 2019/2020 Spring semester
Vytautas Magnus University has opened the application for accommodation during the Spring semester of academic year 2019/2020 for incoming full-time, Erasmus+, Bilateral or other exchange students. For more information about VMU dormitories please visit this link: http://accommodation.vdu.lt
In order to reserve place of residence in one of the dormitories of VMU, international students must follow this procedure no later than by January 16th, 2020:
- create a personal account to the online accommodation system
- reserve place of residence from the provided list of vacant rooms
- pay prior fee for reservation no later than 5 working days after making the reservation
- sign your online Agreement for Accommodation
- move-in into the dormitory

Important dates for incoming students of VMU:

VMU students hosted a Christmas party at VMU dormitory No. 5
On 15th of December, Vytautas Magnus foreign students organized a Chistmas party and a national dishes festival at VMU dormitory No. 5. Students attending to the meeting enjoyed the opportunity to meet, socialize and get to know each other better. During the celebration, the fifth member of the dormitory council was elected.

We want inform students who staying at Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy dormitory 5, that washing machines, that are in this dormitory are adjusted and ready to use.
Self-service laundries are paid for. Their price:
- Laundry – 3 euros (10 kg)
- Drying – 1,5 euros (10 kg)

A meeting of VMU dormitory council was held
On the 19th of November, 14:00, a meeting of the Student Affairs Department and the VMU Student’s Council with the self-government chairman of the dormitories was held in Vytautas Magnus University Student Center (S. Daukanto str. 27-206).
During the meeting, common topics related to all dormitories, individual affairs of each dormitory and other issues were discussed.
